Privacy policy
Last updated: 26 October 2026
This policy explains what happens to the details you give Markwick Digital through this website. Markwick Digital is run by Dan Markwick, a sole trader based in Cornwall, who is the data controller for this information.
What I collect
When you fill in the quote form, I receive your name, business name, phone number, the type of work you do and anything you write in the message box. If you call, text, WhatsApp or email me, I receive whatever you send that way.
This website does not use cookies or advertising trackers. If basic visitor statistics are switched on, they are cookie-free and do not identify you.
Why I use it
Only to reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote or mock-up, and, if you become a client, to provide the service. The lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and my legitimate interest in replying to people who contact me.
I won't add you to a mailing list or sell or share your details for marketing.
Who else handles it
Form messages pass through Netlify, which hosts this website, and arrive in my email inbox, provided by Zoho. These companies process data for me under their own data protection terms. Some processing may take place outside the UK under safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
How long I keep it
Enquiries that don't go ahead are deleted within 12 months. If you become a client, I keep business records for as long as the law requires, usually six years.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information I hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or object to how it's used. Email dan@markwickdigital.co.uk and I'll respond within one month.
If you're unhappy with how your information has been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
